Conference on Salmonella Flyer

Salmonella infections continue to be a major public health problem in many parts of the world. Multiple Salmonella serovars are responsible for major economic losses in livestock, and non-typhoidal Salmonella has emerged as a highly invasive pathogen in Africa and elsewhere. This conference will bring together scientists from around the world with a variety of different backgrounds, including internationally recognized leaders in Salmonella research. The most recent and exciting discoveries in the field will be presented, with a focus on a range of research topics on the best understood bacterial pathogen, from clinical and translational issues to more basic science, and will draw upon multidisciplinary angles. Promising new approaches for the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of Salmonella infections will be highlighted. The organizing committee is keen for students and postdocs to attend the meeting, to share and discuss their research with the Salmonella scientific community.
